One of the best meals I have had for a while in the UK. Reasonable price for the quality as well. Everything cooked perfectly with great flavor and seasoning. Good wine selection, definitely will return to try some more dishes. Great overall vibe as well.

We had the most superb meal here recently. Firstly, I think the service in the Blue Fig is the best out of any restaurant in Bury - the staff were incredibly attentive, topping up our water all the time and making space on our table for more plates to arrive, without pestering or rushing us. The restaurant was really sweet and they had air-con running which was lovely, as it was a warm evening. But the food! The food was incredible! If I could relive the meal again, I absolutely would. I would especially recommend the pork ribs, beef ribs, the melanzane, the chocolate dessert and the garlic mushrooms. Lovely drink selection too. We will be returning!

First of all, staff were incredible. Extremely attentive without being intrusive, and also very polite and friendly. The restaurant is quite small and busy but well laid out which made for a vibrant atmosphere. We were recommended 3 plates each, so we ordered those and shared them all. Plates come out when it's ready which is a way of dining I really enjoy. Every plate we had was delicious! My particular favourites were the hash browns and pork ribs, which seems to be a very popular choice. I'm confident I would've enjoyed everything on the menu. The bill for the 2 of us including service charge and drinks (2 beers and soft drink) came to just under 80 which I thought was good value considering how full and satisfied we felt. We'll definitely be back and would recommend it to friends.

Just had a lovely dinner here. Food was delicious. Espresso Martini was the best I’ve ever had. Very attentive staff and a cozy atmosphere. A

Best meal I have had in a long time. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was spot on, and the Creme Caramel Cocktail was out of this world! A big shout out to Jack and the team. We will be returning very soon.

Lovely restaurant with great food and service. The menu is full of excellent dishes and we sampled a wide range of these and all were delicious and fresh! The quality of the food matches the price. Overall a fantastic spot to eat in BSE.

The food was delicious, with subtle flavours and textures. The service was excellent, with well informed and friendly staff. The decor was elegant and eyecatching. Altogether a wonderful experience.

Truly some of the best food we've eaten - the sort of food that still has you thinking about it four days later. The Blue Fig has leapfrogged to the top of our list of best Suffolk restaurants. Do reserve a table, though. The restaurant is small and every table was in use when we were there. Try the small plate slow-cooked short rib. It may seem expensive at 16 but it was large enough for three of us to have two decent slices, and you won't believe how melt-in-the-mouth delicious it is. And order yourself a portion of piping hot homemade hash browns on the side. Special mention to the garlic mushrooms and melansane. 100 for three adults which included 2 glasses of wine and eight small plates. We left feeling comfortably full and extremely happy.
